Industrial Mechanic
Honey Bee Manufacturing Ltd. is seeking an experienced Industrial Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our Building/Facilities Maintenance department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our equipment and manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Locate source of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listen for problems using diagnostic tools and testing instruments.
- Fabricate, disassemble and assemble production equipment to gain access and to remove defective parts.
- Monitor and track the performance of plant equipment and new installations.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment in the plant and offices.
- Control downtime by informing production operators of routine preventive maintenance and monitoring compliance.
- Read and interpret blueprints and equipment manuals.
- Provide regular reporting to senior management on operational issues.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 3-5 years’ experience as an industrial mechanic/millwright and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Vocational or technical training related to industrial mechanics/millwright is an asset.
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
